Workforce Development
Recovery is about more than sobriety, it is about building a stable, meaningful future. Lifeline’s workforce development program helps clients gain the skills, confidence, and support they need to return to work and re-enter the community successfully.
Many individuals entering recovery have experienced barriers to employment, gaps in education, unstable work histories, or limited access to transportation.
Lifeline’s workforce development program is designed to help clients overcome those challenges through hands-on support, practical training, and strong partnerships with local employers.
By combining recovery with education, life skills, and job readiness, clients leave the program better prepared to build a future for themselves and their families.
Workforce Development Begins Early
Workforce readiness begins during Phase 1 of Lifeline’s program, long before clients begin applying for jobs.
During this stage, clients work on:
GED preparation and educational support
Resume writing and interview preparation
Soft skills, including communication, teamwork, punctuality, and workplace expectations
Financial literacy and budgeting
Building confidence and personal responsibility
These foundational skills help clients prepare for long-term success both personally and professionally.
Preparing for Employment in the Real World
As clients progress through the program, they begin putting these skills into practice.
Clients may participate in:
Mock interviews
Job applications and resume reviews
Volunteer opportunities in the community
Structured work experiences
Career exploration and job placement support
Lifeline helps clients identify their strengths, interests, and goals so they can pursue meaningful employment that aligns with their long-term recovery journey.
Strong Relationships with Local Employers
Lifeline partners with a growing network of local businesses and employers who understand the importance of second chances and are committed to helping individuals rebuild their lives.
These partnerships provide opportunities for clients to:
Gain employment during the later phases of the program
Build a stable work history
Develop confidence and independence
Practice accountability and responsibility in a real-world setting
Many of Lifeline’s employer partners hire program participants on a regular basis and play an important role in helping clients achieve long-term success.
Add employer logos, testimonials, or business partner spotlights once list is available.
EMPLOYER PARTNERSHIPS
Removing Barriers to Employment
Reliable transportation can be one of the biggest barriers to finding and maintaining a job. Lifeline provides transportation support to help clients access:
Jobs and interviews
Educational opportunities
Medical appointments
Court dates and other required obligations
This support helps ensure that transportation does not stand in the way of progress.
More Than a Job
Employment is about more than earning a paycheck. It provides structure, purpose, confidence, and a sense of independence. For many clients, returning to work is a major milestone in their recovery journey. It can help rebuild relationships, restore self-worth, and create long-term stability. Lifeline’s workforce development program is designed to help clients not only find a job—but build a future.
