We are fortunate to have a dedicated Board of Directors comprised of community leaders. Our board is passionate about Lifeline Recovery Center because many of them have witnessed firsthand the toll addiction can take on family, friends, and the entire community.
Steve Powless
Board Chair
Board member since 2020
Steve is the former Chairman and CEO of Computer Services, Inc. (CSI), a Fintech company that serves financial institutions and corporate customers across the nation. Steve has been involved in numerous civic initiatives and organizations both locally and statewide, including Murray State University, WKCTC, Greater Paducah Economic Development Council, Paducah Library, Rotary Club, Kentucky Connect, and CEO’s Roundtable Group.
Steve is a past president and director for the Association for Financial Technology (AFT), a graduate of Leadership Paducah, Leadership Kentucky and Murray State University, where he received the Distinguished Alumni award in 2014. Steve is the former chairman of the Baptist Health Paducah Administrative Board of Directors, where he currently serves as a director.
Ashley Miller
Executive Director
Board member since 2024
Ashley Miller serves as the Executive Director of Lifeline Recovery Center and is a proud 2014 graduate of the program. Since stepping into leadership in 2019, Ashley has guided Lifeline through significant growth—including achieving state licensure and national accreditations through ASAM and CARF. Her leadership has helped ensure that Lifeline consistently meets the highest standards of care in the field of addiction recovery.
Ashley’s passion for this work is rooted in her own story. After overcoming addiction, she has dedicated her life to helping others find the same freedom. Her journey has been shaped by personal loss, including the passing of her parents, sister, brother-in-law, and stepson due to substance-related struggles. These experiences have deepened her commitment to offering hope, healing, and second chances to those battling addiction.
A native of Murray, Kentucky, Ashley is a graduate of West Kentucky Community and Technical College and the Academy of Nonprofit Leadership at Murray State University. In recognition of her impact, she was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel by Governor Andy Beshear.
Ashley leads Lifeline with compassion, accountability, and vision—honoring the past while helping others build a better future.
Dr. Jeffery Taylor
Treasurer
Board member since 2016
Jeff, an eye specialist physician, moved to Paducah in 2005 to join The Ophthalmology Group. He learned about Lifeline through the Emmaus Walk; as he served on several teams, he saw how God transformed the lives of men with addiction and wanted to become involved in Lifeline. He and wife Heather have two daughters.
David Bailey
Board member since 2022
Bailey serves as Chief Financial Officer of The Paducah Bank and Trust Company. He recently retired from Williams, Williams & Lentz, where he held the role of audit partner and business consultant, with a primary focus on corporate and nonprofit entities. Prior to that, he served as a senior manager with KPMG in both Nashville and Houston.
He currently chairs the Administrative Board of Directors for Baptist Health Paducah and has lent his leadership to a variety of civic and philanthropic boards, including the Rotary Club of Paducah and the Community Scholarship Program. In addition to his professional and community service, Bailey is a dedicated adult Sunday school teacher at Heartland Church.
He and his wife, Jan, reside in Paducah, Kentucky. They are the proud parents of three grown children and grandparents to eight.
Rev. Dr. Bernice Belt, BS, MS, CCC, ThD, PhD.
Board Secretary
Board member since 2016
Rev. Dr. Bernice Belt is an ordained minister in both the Missionary Baptist and Cumberland Presbyterian Church denominations. She actively serves in covenant with Highland Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Paducah, Kentucky, and participates in the work of Covenant Presbytery.
Dr. Belt holds both the Doctor of Theology and Doctor of Philosophy in Christian Education. She is currently completing her dissertation for a PhD in Missions, Evangelism, and Church Growth. Dr. Belt is deeply committed to Christian education and community connection. She serves as an instructor in the denomination’s Program of Alternate Studies and is a lifelong member of the NAACP.
Her distinguished civic engagement includes being named a Duchess of Paducah, graduate of Leadership Paducah class of #25, and Paducah Police Academy Class #1, and serves as a McCracken County elections officer. She is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, Beta Omega Omega Chapter, and recently completed Certification in Church Revitalization.
Dr. Belt is married to Harold, a retired U.S. Army veteran. Together they have four children, 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three beloved bonus daughters. Her personal journey is marked by extraordinary resilience…she is a survivor of domestic violence, homelessness, sexual harassment, and two rare forms of cancer—small bowel and stomach.
Carla Berry
Board member since 2023
Berry is a senior vice president of Paducah Bank, semi-retired after 45 years in the industry. She chairs the board of directors for The Continue Care Hospital LTACH at Baptist Health Paducah; and the economic development committee of Paducah Main Street, where she serves on the board. She is the past president of the Charity League of Paducah, the Dream Factory and the local chapters of the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association. She was a founder of the Paducah River City Business and Professional Women’s Club and named BPW Woman of the Year in 2000.
Casey Brantley, MD
Board member since 2023
Casey Brantley, MD, has been an emergency physician since 2011 at Mercy Health Paducah, where he serves as assist medical director. He has served on boards for the United Way and Hope for Orphans USA, as well as a church cabinet member and middle-school Sunday school teacher at Heartland Church.
Tony Copeland
Board member since 2023
Tony Copeland is senior maintenance and stores supervisor/planner at Arkema Inc. in Calvert City, where he has served 27 years. A Paducah resident, he serves on the administrative and foundation boards of Baptist Health Paducah. He also serves on boards of several other organizations, including Independence Bank Paducah Area, Community Scholarship Program, Rolling Hills Country Club and the McCracken County Community Career Endowment Inc. Copeland recently completed eight years as a member of the board of directors for the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce.
He is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., where he serves as the keeper of records and seals. He studied marketing at Western Kentucky University and business at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
Missy Eckenberg
Board member since 2021
Missy Eckenberg has undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing from Murray State University. Former positions include Regional Coordinator for the Kentucky Cancer Program, Director of the Lourdes Hospital Foundation, and Director of Development for St. Thomas More Church. Missy is a past president of the Rotary Club of Paducah and Rotary District Governor 2017-18. A volunteer for many organizations, she served on the Community Scholarship Program Board and the Chamber Business Advocacy Committee.
She is married to Stan Eckenberg, CSI retiree, and has two daughters, Erin, a Paducah business owner, and Sarah, who works for the U.S. Treasury Department.
Terry Haas
Board Member since 2022
Terry Haas is the Chief Executive Officer of Turnkey Risk Solutions, LLC. He brings over 26 years of executive leadership experience in the pharmaceutical distribution industry, having held key positions such as Chief Executive Officer of The Harvard Drug Group, and President, Executive Vice President, and Chief Integration Officer at AmerisourceBergen Corporation.
A graduate of St. Louis University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing, Mr. Haas also holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. His strategic expertise has extended beyond the pharmaceutical sector, including service on the Board of Directors for Computer Services Inc., where he chaired the Risk and Strategic Committees and was a member of both the Executive and Audit Committees.
He currently chairs the Lifeline Executive Committee, helping guide the organization's mission and strategic direction with a focus on service and sustainability.
Robert L. Hill
Board member since 2017
Robert has an extensive entrepreneurial background that began with a catalog store chain for the Lowell Supply Company in Bloomington, Ill. He opened six catalog stores in eight years, with sales nearing $20 million each year. He left Lowell to open his own catalog store, Hillmark Jewelers and Distributors, in downtown Paducah. After closing Hillmark in 1991, he operated a jewelry store and KWHS, a national liquidation company, for 10 years before retiring. Robert served as president of the Paducah Merchants Association for five years. Lifeline’s work is important to him because a lifelong struggle with drugs and alcohol claimed the life of his daughter.
Ken Hunt
Board member since 2020
Ken, owner and president of A&K Construction in Paducah, is active in several community organizations – past president of Associated General Contractors of western Kentucky, past chairman of Greater Paducah Economic Development Council, past member of the St. Mary School Board and a current member of the FNB board. He and A&K host an annual golf tournament to benefit Sunrise Children’s Ministry, raising more than $500,000 to help abused and neglected children. He and wife Beth have three children and two grandchildren. He enjoys golf, running and travel.
Bonnie Schrock
Board member since 2022
Schrock recently retired as vice president and chief operating officer of Baptist Health Paducah, after a 30-year stint with executive responsibilities for marketing, patient services and human resources. She previously worked as news anchor and medical reporter at WPSD NewsChannel 6 from 1983 to 1992, except in 1986 when she served as physician liaison at Charter Hospital, conducting seminars for work sites on alcohol and chemical dependency.
Matt Snow
Board member since 2024
Matt Snow is system vice president of support services for the Baptist Health System in Kentucky and Southern Indiana, following experience as executive director of facilities at Baptist Health Paducah. He has previous experience as an HVAC sales engineer and a consulting engineer /project manager. Matt holds a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky, Paducah Campus. He is a certified Professional Engineer, a Certified Energy Manager and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). Matt has served as president and treasurer for Kentucky Society of Healthcare Engineers, president of West Kentucky Regional Chamber Alliance, president of Leadership Paducah Foundation, graduate of Leadership Kentucky Class of 2016, and founding co-chair of Paducah Young Professionals
Todd Trimble
Board member since 2020
Todd, owner of The Golf Complex in Paducah, earned a business degree from Morehead State University in 1988. He then earned his PGA status in Oak Ridge, Tenn., before beginning a 12-year career as the PGA professional at the Country Club of Paducah. He and business partner Barry Kight built the Golf Complex in 2003, now employing five professionals. A Pikeville native, he is a Sunday School teacher at Heartland Church.
