LIFELINE AWARDED $422k FROM STATE COMMISSION
April 28, 2026
Lifeline Recovery Center of Paducah will receive $422,120 over two years from Kentucky's Opioid Abatement Advisory Commission to benefit its men’s campus in Ballard County and women’s campus in McCracken County.
Funding comes from the state's share of more than $1 billion in settlements with corporations involved in the opioid crisis. Attorney General Russell Coleman announced the awards April 23, representing one of the largest disbursements in the commission’s history of awarding nearly $34 million to more than 100 Kentucky organizations. Lifeline's award falls in the treatment/recovery category.
Executive Director Ashley Miller expressed gratitude to staff, board members, and community advocates whose support made the full award possible. "This is such a big win for Lifeline," she said, "for everyone who benefits from our services to get sober so they can return to their families, their jobs, and their communities."
The grant will fund Lifeline's workforce development program, which has a 100% job placement rate, along with expanded staffing, women's campus furnishings, and operational expenses.
Lifeline is a Christ-centered, long-term residential recovery program serving approximately 200 area adults each year, totaling more than 3,000 since it began in 2004. It is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Lifeline operates a 45-acre men's campus acquired in 2022 and is currently developing a 45-acre women's campus near Barkley Regional Airport.
