Lifeline receives Kentucky Colonels grant for new freezer

NEWS RELEASE

Lifeline Recovery Center, a residential nine-month substance abuse treatment center, has received a grant of almost $2,500 from the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels to buy a new freezer.

Lifeline serves about 150 men and women each year at separate campuses. Lifeline is able to offer low-cost residential treatment for alcohol and drug addiction because of support from individuals and organizations, such as the Kentucky Colonels.

“We are grateful to the Kentucky Colonels and other generous donors who recognize the need for our program and the value we provide to clients,” said Ashley Miller, Lifeline executive director, “so these men and women can achieve sobriety to return to their families and jobs.”

The grant came from the Kentucky Colonels’ Good Works Program, which recently awarded $3.1 million to Kentucky programs.
